Whilst International Women’s Day is an opportunity to highlight the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, it’s also a day that marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
That’s why at Women Like Us we're delighted to not only welcome WIN’s CEO, Kristin Engvig to our IWD 2022 Coffee and Cake networking event, but to use the day to announce our support of WIN and their Empowerment Fund via a number of initiatives.
One such initiative sees the launch of a campaign where WLU will donate 5% of revenue generated to WIN’s Empowerment Fund.
With women living longer than men, statistically they are more likely to end up living alone at some point. Yet many women are failing to take the necessary steps with their finances.
“Research shows that there is no country in the world where women invest in the same capacity as their male counterparts. Through our partnership with WIN, we aim to empower women to understand all their options and make their own financial decisions.”
Created to help improve the lives of women around the world and provide economic stability and learning opportunities for them to help the development of careers globally, WIN’s Empowerment Fund has already awarded more than 1000 scholarships and solidarity tickets to WIN programmes.
